HALAL MENU ITEMS & CERTIFICATIONS

Although Savory Crust’s products are made from Halal proteins, we are not fully a HALAL Certified kitchen. A lot of other restaurants that serve HALAL products are also not HALAL Certified kitchens. For clarity, the reason Savory Crust has chosen to move some proteins to Halal is purely because of its taste and the way the animals are treated. Savory Crust has attracted a segment of the population that only eats Halal. Savory Crust respects all religions and the reasons why people choose to eat or not eat something.

Savory Crust (restaurant itself) does not and has never claimed to be a fully certified HALAL kitchen by any Halal organization. We also need to be cognizant of not alienating our other patrons that do not follow the same practices by making their offerings as diverse and welcoming as we are. Just as some may find Kosher products, not all kitchens are Kosher Certified kitchens. We hope this provides clarity and helps you to make the right decision for yourself.
